Call for papers for 17th Iranian Conference on Biomedical Engineering (ICBME)

November 3-4 2010 

  

This is a forum for professional engineers, scientists and academics engaged in research and development to convene and present their latest scholarly work in biomedical engineering. It will also provide engineers with an opportunity to interact and share their experiences in industry and technology applications. Researchers, engineers, educators, and students are invited to submit papers on any aspect of biomedical engineering including the following areas:

 

Bioelectrics:

Biomedical signals prospecting, biomedical image processing, bioinstrumentations, biomedical sensors, modeling of biological systems, neuromuscular systems, telemedicine, bioelectromagnetic, robotics, electrophysiology, ultrasonics and cognitive sciences.

 

Biomechanics:

Biomechanics in motion, in bone, in robotic surgery. fluid   mechanics in vessels. Biomechanics in sport, in breathing system, and prosthesis. Biomechanics in correction of defects.

 

Biomaterials:

Medical Polymers, ceramics in medic-ine, metals in medicine, composites in medicine, systems of drug delivery, tissue engineering, nanomaterial and thermodynamics in medicines.

 

Biophysics and Medical physics:

Radiation therapy, laser therapy, radiology, nuclear medicine. Medical imaging, ultrasound and optics in medicine and bioengineering.

 

Bioinformatics:

Biological data Processing, random modeling, bioinformatics, fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence, Data management in biomedical engineering and electronic health.

 

Health Technology Assessment:

HTA is a multi-disciplinary field of policy analysis that examines the medical, economic, social and ethical implications of the incremental value, diffusion and use of a medical technology in health care.

 

Conditions:

·        Papers should be original and not published before.

·        All submitted paper will be peer reviewed and the accepted and presented papers will be included in the conference proceedings.

·        It is requested that full paper submissions not exceeding 4 pages for English and 6 pages for Persian in pdf file format.

·        It is expected that sufficient technical details will be presented in the paper.

·        The manuscripts should be prepared according to the IEEE paper style.

·        The papers could be in English and Persian.
